i’ll sing it one last time for you

my new favourite emo song :) Snow Patrol’s Run. i quite like the acoustic version!

I’ll sing it one last time for you
Then we really have to go
You’ve been the only thing that’s right
In all I’ve done

And I can barely look at you
But every single time I do
I know we’ll make it anywhere
Away from here

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I’ll be right beside you dear

Louder louder
And we’ll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can’t raise your voice to say

To think I might not see those eyes
Makes it so hard not to cry
And as we say our long goodbye
I nearly do

Light up…

Slower slower
We don’t have time for that
All I want is to find an easier way
To get out of our little heads

Have heart my dear
We’re bound to be afraid
Even if it’s just for a few days
Making up for all this mess

Fluffy marshmellows and candy canes: Nail Post

So I realise that when I am stressed, the thing that I always like to do is to paint my nails. Whether it is changing the colour, or adding an additional layer of top coat, I will always find something to do with/on my nails. Last night was no exception. I had already had a single colour on my nails – OPI’s “Second Honeymoon”. It’s a really light, sweet pink colour.

I was halfway through finishing my essay when I decided to do something to my nails. I only had OPI’s “Second Honeymoon”, China Glaze’s “For Audrey” and “Broken Hearted” in my room in school. So I had limited choices, I could either change my nail colour, or create a shattered look for my nails. Or I could do this:

My current nails :) rocking the marshmellow look

So I haven’t sported dual-coloured nails for a while. But I’ve always though that these two colours would go really well together. The first time I got the “For Audrey” from Grace at beautysofly.blogspot.com, I was thinking of using these two colours for a cute modern french manicure. But I still need to perfect my manicure skills. For now, I’ll make-do with this. :)

I usedĀ OPI’s “Second Honeymoon” as a base and China Glaze’s “For Audrey” for the diagonal strip across.

OPI's "Second Honeymoon" and China Glaze's "For Audrey"

Here’s how I got the look:

1) I first applied 3 coats of “Second Honeymoon”, but you can apply as many as you like to get the colour you like.

2) Half a brush of “For Audrey” for the diagonal stripe. You could apply it towards whichever direction you’ll like and mirror the directions for your right or left hand, or keep the diagonal directions the same.

3) Top coat and VOILA! :)

Very very simple! Makes me happy :D

I Will Follow

So I’m hooked on this song and it’s lyrics since Mabel led it yesterday. It goes like this:

“I Will Follow”

Where you go, I’ll go
Where you stay, I’ll stay
When you move, I’ll move
I will follow…

All your ways are good
All your ways are sure
I will trust in you alone
Higher than my side
High above my life
I will trust in you alone

Where you go, I’ll go
Where you stay, I’ll stay
When you move, I’ll move
I will follow you
Who you love, I’ll love
How you serve I’ll serve
If this life I lose, I will follow you
I will follow you

Light unto the world
Light unto my life
I will live for you alone
You’re the one I seek
Knowing I will find
All I need in you alone, in you alone

In you there’s life everlasting
In you there’s freedom for my soul
In you there joy, unending joy
and I will follow

When I was singing the song, it was easy for me to pledge that I’ll go where God goes, follow Him when He moves and when He stays. But when it came to the lyrics “Who you love, I’ll love” and “How You serve, I’ll serve”, I found hard to sing that with all my heart.

Lord,
Help me with this. I’m not ready to love as You do, neither to serve as you serve.

Your child.
